“No one who is born of God will continue to sin, because God’s seed remains in him; he cannot go on sinning, because he has been born of God.”

The subject of sin is truly an unpleasant one. But we cannot avoid it while reflecting on the Bible. John tells us from the start here in this book that those who claims to be without sin, deceives themselves, and the truth is not in them.
