1 Peter 2:4-12
Key Verse 2:9
“But you are a chosen people, a royal priesthood, a holy nation, a people belonging to God, that you may declare the praises of him who called you out of darkness into his wonderful light.”

Peter wrote this letter to the struggling early Christians scattered throughout the various regions. These early believers were facing much persecution and suffering during this time, to the point that they were displaced from their homes for their own safety.
