JESUS HEALS TEN MEN OF LEPROSY by Mark Moon

Luke 17:11-19

Key Verse: 17:16

“He threw himself at Jesus’ feet and thanked him–and he was a Samaritan.”

In this passage Jesus heals ten men with leprosy. Jesus thus reveals his divine compassion and almighty power of healing. One of the ten comes back to thank Jesus. Jesus gives him a special blessing. May God help us see Jesus the Messiah and learn the one who made a return to thank Jesus.

First, Jesus carries the cross of world salvation (11).

Look at verse 11. “Now on his way to Jerusalem, Jesus traveled along the border between Samaria and Galilee.” Jesus was on the way to Jerusalem where he was going to be crucified. Jesus knew what was waiting for him there. It was the … Read the rest

I thank God for his blessings to be with you today and to have a chance to study together the word of God. This is a special time since we international summer bible conference coming soon where we will be devoting few days to God and be encouraged by the work of God around the world. Today I chose a passage from the book of Luke chapter 20 which focuses on the authority of Jesus Christ our Lord and savior. Let’s pray.

There was a little boy who wanted a bicycle, so he asks his mom, to which she replies that maybe if he prays, God might provide him a bike. So, he decides to write a prayer letter …”Dear God, if you give me a bike I promise I will stop sinning for a whole year…” Excited, he races down to the mailbox to post his letter, but on his way, notices a picture of Jesus on the cross in the hallway; suddenly feels guilty because he knows that it’s impossible for him not to sin for that long.
In Ephesians, Paul describes what a healthy church community looks like. He recounts many elements that are necessary for a church body to be healthy. For example, he urges us to live lives worthy of our calling, bearing with one another in love, and making every effort to keep the unity of the Spirit (2b-3a). This seems to be at the heart of his message! He also reminds us why the Lord has given each of us his gracious gifts. You and I have been gifted that we might use our gifts to build each other up and the church— so … Read the rest

Part 1: The Living Stone

Peter wrote this letter to the struggling early Christians scattered throughout the various regions. These early believers were facing much persecution and suffering during this time, to the point that they were displaced from their homes for their own safety. This must have been very discouraging for many in the young church who could live their past normal lives like everyone else if they would just renounce their newfound faith.
I thank God that me and my family were able to come back to our home church at Triton UBF and worship together with our brothers and sisters in Christ. It is encouraging to hear what faith can do in our lives. Faith can direct our lives in the right direction, and lead us to make the right decisions before God. It was refreshing to hear Pastor Teddy’s message last week. Today we will study from chapter 3 in the book of Mark. Why was Zechariah so joyful that he burst out in song? And what was the subject of his song of praise? Zechariah had much to be thankful for and to praise God for. But he praised God mostly because God came to this world in order to save his people.
What is Christmas? Is it about that man dressed in bright red pajamas, who rides his sleigh, led by a reindeer? During this season, we have many different stories, and traditions. They were also a godly couple who lived a life of prayer in the word of God. One of Zachariah’s priestly duties was to serve as a prayer servant at the temple.
