Hebrews 11:8-19

“All these people were still living by faith when they died. They did not receive the things promised; they only saw them and welcomed them from a distance. And they admitted that they were aliens and strangers on earth.”
We last spoke of the faith of the ancients in verses 1 through 7, tracing the beginnings of faith to Abel, Enoch and Noah. Noah marked a new beginning for humanity after God destroyed the world through a world wide flood but saved Noah and his sons. He became the heir of righteousness that is by faith.
