Mark 9:33-37

Key Verse 9:35

“Sitting down, Jesus called the Twelve and said, ‘If anyone wants to be first, he must be the very last, and the servant of all.”’

Jesus was thinking about all that would happen to him once he reached Jerusalem. Yet, he didn’t change his course. He pushed on because he needed to be sacrificed there on a cross for the sins of the world. It was what he had come to this world to do.
