Mark 5:21-43

“Ignoring what they said, Jesus told the synagogue ruler, ‘Don’t be afraid; just believe.’”

The man had been an outcast from society, destined to live his life in the tombs and oppressed by demons. But Jesus’ compassion for this tortured man was too great to let him die in his misery. Jesus visited him in the place of his suffering and delivered him from his demons, and restored his life. Overwhelmed with the grace of our Lord Jesus, the man begged Jesus to take him along.
