1 Corinthians 14:1-40,

“So it is with you. Since you are eager to have spiritual gifts, try to excel in gifts that build up the church.”

In the key verse Paul exhorts the Corinthian church to excel in the gifts that build up the church. That exhortation is at the heart of the Lord’s desire. The church is the bride of the Lord.
