Nehemiah 8:1-18

Key Verse 8:6

“Ezra praised the Lord, the great God; and all the people lifted their hands and responded, ‘Amen! Amen!’ Then they bowed down and worshiped the Lord with their faces to the ground.”

In the last passage we studied, he tells us these words: “So my God put it into my heart to assemble the nobles, the officials and the common people for registration by families.” (7:5) It was God’s initiative to register the people by families.
