Matthew 4:18-25

“‘Come, follow me,’ Jesus said, ‘and I will make you fishers of men.”
Jesus began his gospel ministry by declaring these words: “Repent, for the kingdom of heaven is near.” (4:17) Then he began to call a few disciples to follow him. What did he want to do with them? He wanted to be their shepherd and friend; he wanted to help them live the lives God wanted them to live.
