Corporate or community prayer goes beyond the prayers of an individual Christian. It is that prayer which involves more than one member of the body of Christ. Incomparably Great Power

Epehsians 1:19-20

“And his incomparably great power for us who believe. That power is like the working of his mighty strength, which he exerted in Christ when he raised him from the dead and seated him at his right hand in the heavenly realms.”

Suppose a certain Christian has a very bad temper (I will use this poor illustration as an example for what I want to explain today— but you can replace the “bad temper” with any other personal struggle). He tries once to overcome it but he cannot. He tries the second time to deal with it but he fails. The third time he tries to resist it but again he is not successful. We have looked at this verse once before at the beginning of our study on prayer. We realized that, like the disciples, we too have a request of our Lord Jesus. They Should Always Pray And Not Give Up

Luke 18:1-8

Key Verse 18:3

“And there was a widow in that town who kept coming to him with the plea, ‘Grant me justice against my adversary.’”

For the most part, we can say that there are three aspects to any prayer. The first aspect is, ourselves— we who pray, the second is God— to whom we pray, and the third is the enemy, who is Satan. Very few actually see the truth as it is, that in a true prayer, there are always three aspects of prayer. That is, there is themselves, there is God, but there is also the enemy, Satan who is very much involved. Yet every true prayer is very much related to all these aspects.
