This amazing chapter launches with the great persecution that began at the death of Stephen the martyr. We are told by Luke that a terrible sort of persecution suddenly swept through the whole region and championed by a man called Saul. We’ll see a lot of him in this book, so I will not introduce him just yet, but only what he was doing. The persecution carried many Christians across border lines from Judea to Samaria, and those who were being persecuted carried with them the gospel message of Christ and his salvation to the Samaritans.
